This once relatively unknown substance has creeped into homes across the world, becoming a staple of healthy living and developing a pretty huge following! Now, it has a cult following and it is sold everywhere, from local supermarkets to hipster cafes. But, what exactly is it, what are the benefits of matcha and what’s the big deal?

What is Matcha?

It comes as a type of powder rather than tea leaves, making it a versatile ingredient that can be used in a whole range of drinks and food.
