Winter holidays are underrated. You can actually have the same amount of fun as you do in summers. With travelers all around the world, comes different preferences, like going on a trip to somewhere tropical or having adventures in snowy wonderlands. 

Sometimes there is uncertainty as to where to go for a vacation in winters. It can be a getaway trip as well. Here are destinations from all around the world to consider for your next trip. They are categorized as warm and cold destinations according to your preference. These destinations are usually cheap as winters is most off-season for most cities.

Warm Destinations

The largest and capital city of Costa Rica, San José attracts many tourists throughout the year. The city is loved because of the lush green jungles and serene beaches. The temperature in the winter months averages at a high of 31⁰C and a low of 18⁰C. San José is also well-known for its magnificent museums, theaters, parks and plazas. Overall, a fun coastal city for a getaway under the warm sun.

A very famous costal destination to visit for its pristine waters and luxury resorts. The average temperature from November to January is 25⁰C to 30⁰C approximately. From snorkeling in the turquoise blue water to soaking the sun on the quiet beaches, it is a mini-heaven. The Tahiti Pearl Market is always an intriguing place with unique Pearl jewelry. Tourists love a good water sport in the calm waters of Bora Bora and hikes up the green hills.

The temperature ranges from 22⁰C to 32⁰C from November to January. Bangkok always amazes the tourists with its buzzing streets, amazing seafood and street food, largest Chinatown in the World and so much more.

The largest city in Belize with Caribbean waters at the coast. The warm coastal weather makes it ideal to explore throughout the year. With endless water sports opportunities from snorkeling to scuba diving, you can get adventurous with your loved ones. The city as fascinating on land as it is under the water. It receives more than a million visitors each year. It hosted the alpine skiing events at the Winter Olympics 2010. Furano Lavender Fields are an eye-pleasing spot to take Instagram worthy pictures and enjoy the views. Visit the Bie-cho which is The Blue Pond with the prettiest shade of blue with the white snow covering the surroundings. One of the most popular festivals of Hokkaido is the Sapporo Snow Festival which attracts spectators for the ice statues. You must have been on a roller coaster ride before but never on a roller coaster road, check that off your bucket list in Hokkaido.

The Lake Bled in the northwestern part of the country is one of the most visited destinations of the country. the clear blue shade of the lake takes your breath away. The lake is surrounded by trees and medieval buildings along with the Bled Castle made specially to overlook the lake and a church on the Bled Island.
