Food tourism is one of the most popular and beloved forms of tourism. Tourists love to travel to countries that are known for their excellent food and drinks. After all, what better way to discover a country’s culture and traditions than through its food?

Stopping by a great bar and restaurant is also a great way to create unforgettable memories and spend some quality time with loved ones. A great restaurant and bar can lead to a unique and memorable travel experience.

What are some of the most luxurious bars to visit around the world? Which ones will lead to unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experiences? Which ones will create core memories for you and your travel companions?

Read on to find out which bars have made it into our top list. Here are some of the most luxurious bars on the planet.

Subsix (Maldives)

Subsix is an exceptionally luxurious bar at the Per Aquum Niyama resort in the Maldives. Located on a private island, you will need to hop onto a speedboat if you are not staying at the resort.

Once you set foot on the island, you will walk to the bar and descend three flights of stairs. Don’t worry, it will all be worth it once you arrive. Inside the bar, you will witness a breathtaking and immersive sea life spectacle. The bar is underwater which means you can sip on a cocktail while watching the fish swim by peacefully.

Some cocktails are affordable, but they do have a selection of sophisticated and luxurious spirits if you are looking for something more expensive. The bar also has a great menu for those who would like to pair their drink with a meal.

All of their meals are delicious, but we do recommend opting for fish, their speciality. Visitors might want to try the Subsix’s famous marinated carabineros as well as the coral lobster tail.

The Peak Bar (Tokyo, Japan)

The Peak Bar is a luxurious venue in Tokyo that offers delicious drinks and a stunning view of the city. Visitors can find it on the 41st floor of the Park Hyatt Tokyo Hotel.

The Peak Bar is a great bar to visit at sunset and the ideal setting for a romantic date. Once the sun sets, the bar lights up with soft Japanese paper lanterns. These lanterns create a softly lit, intimate and cosy atmosphere. They allow guests to enjoy Tokyo’s skyline and its sea of city lights even by night.

In terms of food and drinks selection, we recommend trying out some local specialties. Why not opt for a Japanese alcohol that pairs well with Japanese beef sirloin steak sandwiches? If you are looking for some entertainment after your drink, you are in luck. The bar is located in a vibrant Japanese neighbourhood.

A few meters away from the hotel is the New National Theatre Tokyo. It is Japan’s first and most prestigious national centre for the performing arts. You can watch some great opera, ballet and drama shows at this theatre.

There are also casinos nearby if you are interested in gaming. If entering a Japanese casino is intimidating, you can always visit an online casino first. For example, you can start by playing free slots at online casinos to gain more gaming experience and confidence.

Skyview Lounge (Dubai)

The Skyview Lounge can be found inside the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah hotel in Dubai.

The hotel is located on a private island. It boasts 9 restaurants and bars, 4 pools, a private beach, and many other luxurious amenities.

Burj Al Arab Jumeirah is one of the best hotels in the world. Many industry experts and guests refer to it as a seven-star hotel.

The Skyview Lounge is accessible on the 27th floor of the hotel. Visitors love the stunning panoramic views of the Persian Gulf and Dubai’s skyline.

The bar is known for its wonderful afternoon tea options and luxurious alcoholic drinks. In terms of drinks, we recommend trying one of the hotel’s signature martinis. If you are looking to eat, we recommend going for afternoon tea. Opt for a glass of Gold Emotion or of champagne to go with it.

The afternoon tea is curated by world-renowned Chef Tom Coll and Chef Saverio Sbaragli. It is definitely worth a try.
