Los Cabos is such a great fishing area because it is in between the Sea of Cortez on one shore and the Pacific Ocean on the other. The temperate waters of the Sea of Cortez are known for being the home to one of the most diverse marine ecosystems on the planet. With over 5,000 species of invertebrates including millions of shrimp, squid, herring, sardines, and mackerel. Fishing close to shore, you’ll find plenty of roosterfish, snapper, and amberjack. And if you get a little further out, things get more serious with offshore bigger species such as wahoo, dorado, tuna, sailfish, and marlin.

But if you take a right from Cabo, and you’ll find yourself in the middle of the open Pacific Ocean. Here, the possibilities are endless as the currents bring some of the biggest and most powerful fish in the world. To give you an idea, over 70 world records have been set in these very waters.

4. Wide variety of species to catch

The possibilities of fishing in Los Cabos are huge.
