Make a Checklist

In the last days before you leave for your trip, have a checklist to make sure you have everything. Did you wash the dishes? Do you have someone to watch over your home from time to time?

Also, make sure you have your printout for airline tickets and your hotel stay. Then list everything you need for your vacation, such as money, clothes, passports, and more. Creating a list will keep you organized, and you do a double-check to see that you don’t leave anything behind.

You can have one on your phone and a physical copy just in case. You don’t want to leave any documents and items at home that could delay your trip.

Have Your Loved One Check On Your House

If you’re going on a trip for two weeks, it’s good to have a house sitter. Even if you have a top-notch security system, you still want someone to check up on things.

You don’t want your mail to overflow, which would leave it open to someone stealing a check or private information. Additionally, you want to deter someone from robbing your home while you’re having the time of your life overseas.

Additionally, you may have pets that you want to stay in your house. You might not have found a pound, so a loved one can feed the pet and play with him each day until your return.
