Las Vegas in 2018
Compared to the 70s, Las Vegas is not entirely synonymous with the word ‘casino’ anymore. These days, there’s more focus on super clubs, five-star dining, and malls. This is because providing just a venue for gaming doesn’t offer enough variety for the modern day traveler.
For a while, a bidding war between casinos intensified. Establishments fought over which perks to offer to get the most patrons through their doors. But eventually, gaming profits dropped, and the Internet also had a detrimental effect on Vegas casino’s revenues. Because of the emergence of online casinos, gaming has become accessible to the mainstream through innovative portals. The live lobbies hosted on Slingo Casino, for instance, allow players to interact with virtual dealers through a computer browser or mobile device, giving a more realistic experience. Although there are still obvious differences between online and real-world sessions, these options are a good alternative for people who want to play classic games like poker and blackjack from the comfort of their home.
Today, Sin City’s approach is different. The luxury integrated casino resorts invest in luxe entertainment, dining options and boutique malls to entice tourists. Hotel revenue is now higher than gaming revenue. This data indicates that hotels and resorts are now the real attraction in Las Vegas. And these places, of course, are usually the homes of celebrity chef restaurants in Las Vegas.
