From being the home of the world-renowned ‘fab 4’ in the Beatles to attracting a lot of attention through its footballing prowess, with the Premier League winning Liverpool F.C. at the top of the charts currently, Liverpool is a city with a lot of famous exports. However, along with its rich culture and exciting tourist destinations, there are a fantastic number of restaurants to eat in Liverpool, with a range of tasty and varied foods worth trying when visiting.

The Smugglers Cove

Starting with Liverpool’s iconic Albert Dock, which holds the largest collection of Grade I listed buildings in the entire country, The Smugglers Cove is an exciting and impressive restaurant, with a unique pirate theme and a selection of 141 rums. There are cocktails on offer and a versatile menu, and so it’s something that anyone can enjoy, regardless of age.
Of course, The Smugglers Cove isn’t the only restaurant on the Albert Dock that you can eat at. There are a ton of other options for bars, restaurants and pubs across the docs, and some different museums and attractions, making it the perfect destination when visiting the city.

Veganism is a growing industry in the UK, with the number of vegans in Great Britain quadrupling between 2014 and 2019, and shops, bars, and restaurants are increasingly catering to their dietary restrictions with delicious meat and dairy alternatives. One of the best vegan restaurant offerings in Liverpool at the moment comes from Down the Hatch, a cozy underground restaurant and bar with a range of vegan burgers and hot dogs.
For those that aren’t able to enjoy the pleasures of junk food any more due to their certain meat-based dietary omission, it’s a real treat. They are often also experimenting with the menu, and so frequent visitors will find something new to try out and enjoy!
The Baltic Market

Now, this one’s a little bit of a cheat answer, because it isn’t necessarily one restaurant per se, but we would be remiss if we didn’t mention this exciting and booming section of the city, that has some delicious and varied food selections on offer. Operating out of Cains Brewery within the Baltic Triangle area of Liverpool, with a bar area and rotating selection of food stalls that you can pick and choose from, the Baltic Market is a great place to check out. Probably one of the best food markets and food festivals in the UK.
While we’re on the subject, the Baltic Triangle area, named the ‘coolest place to live’ by the Times, is perhaps one of the most exciting and up-and-coming areas of Liverpool and the UK at the moment. Projects and investments from the likes of RWinvest are in full-swing, with plans for the future looking bright, and with its eclectic mix of bars, restaurants and entertainment options, its already a must-visit part of the city for tourists coming to Liverpool.
